Uninstalling

How to uninstall LYTE from your system.

Standard Uninstallation

Using Windows Settings

  1. Open Windows Settings (Windows + I)
  2. Go to Apps > Apps & features
  3. Search for "LYTE"
  4. Click on LYTE and select Uninstall
  5. Follow the uninstallation wizard

Using Control Panel

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Go to Programs > Programs and Features
  3. Find LYTE in the list
  4. Right-click and select Uninstall
  5. Follow the prompts

Manual Cleanup

After uninstalling, you may want to manually remove remaining files:

Application Data

LYTE may leave configuration files in:

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\LYTE\ - Application data, configuration, logs, and themes

Note: LYTE stores all data in %LOCALAPPDATA%\LYTE\, which typically expands to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\LYTE\ on Windows.

Complete Removal

For a complete removal:

  1. Uninstall LYTE using one of the methods above
  2. Delete remaining folders:
    • %LOCALAPPDATA%\LYTE\ - Contains all application data, configuration, logs, and themes
  3. Empty your Recycle Bin

Portable Installation Removal

If you installed LYTE as a portable application:

  1. Simply delete the folder where you extracted LYTE
  2. Remove any shortcuts you created
  3. No additional cleanup is needed

Reinstalling

After uninstalling, you can reinstall LYTE at any time by following the Quickstart guide.
